Our combined Historic and Architectural Tour of Downtown Staunton and the Historic Houses of Worship Tour will take you on a 90+ minute guided walking experience through the charming Beverley and Newtown Districts. Marvel at extraordinary Victorian architecture as you hear enchanting tales about early settlers, the Civil War, and the city’s vibrant renaissance. Explore iconic sites such as the Smith Center for History and Art, Trinity Church with its exquisite Tiffany windows, and the National Valley Bank, while also visiting some of Staunton’s most beautiful places of worship. Experience insights from church and temple members at select locations, providing an intimate connection to Staunton’s spiritual heritage. Ideal for history enthusiasts and families alike, this tour invites you to discover local art galleries, antique shops, and the lively Farmers Market along the way. Tours are available on Fridays and Saturdays at 11:00 AM, or by appointment, and may also be conducted on the Staunton Downtown Trolley depending on availability. Prices are $23 for the full tour, $18 for a short tour, and children under 12 are half price.
