Open Waltz Nights at Queen City Music Studios Join us for a monthly Open Waltz Night with live performers as part of our Community Music Gatherings on 3rd Tuesdays: February 17th from 7-9pm, with a Beginners Workshop from 7-7:15pm with Brian Hamsher! Beginners to experienced dancers, couples, singles, and families are all welcome to participate in this evening of informal folk waltzing and fun! ABOUT THE PERFORMERS: Doug Sheridan and Rae Kasdan will perform live for our February Open Waltz Night featuring fiddle and piano duets. Rae is a Waynesboro resident, and has been part of the Shenandoah Valley Music Scene for decades! Both Rae and Doug are active members of the Blue Ridge Irish Music School Community, and Doug is a member of the QCMS teaching staff offering Irish Fiddle lessons. Doug also hosts Irish Sessions at Marino’s in partnership with QCMS. OPEN WALTZ NIGHT INFO: – Doors open at 6:45pm – No partner? No problem! – it is customary to rotate partners casually throughout the evening – All ages welcome for this family-friendly gathering; kids under age 12 get free admission! – Upcoming dates: March 17th; April 21st- SAVE THE DATE ADMISSION is $10-20, and tickets can be purchased online or at the door with PayPal, Venmo or cash. Proceeds go towards the musicians and our music school to help sustain our Community Music Gatherings and towards our mission of #makingusicmakers.
