Art of Tea Tasting

Join us for an immersive tea-tasting experience led by our resident tea sommelier. While you may have met Curran as our bookseller at Staunton Books & Tea on Saturday afternoons, you might not know that he is a lifelong professional in the tea world. Before joining Staunton Books & Tea, Curran owned a tea shop in Flagstaff, Arizona, and, for decades, partnered with his brother in a wholesale tea business. His depth of knowledge, keen palate, and warm storytelling make him the perfect host for anyone curious about tea’s many layers. Participants will taste half a dozen teas, exploring a curated selection. As you sip, Curran will lead you through the nuances of taste, aroma, body, mouthfeel, and other essential characteristics that shape a great cup of tea. Each participant will also receive a complimentary 1/2-ounce pack of tea and a piece of chocolate from our shop. We have only 6 seats per event.
