Gypsy Express Mini-Train Rides

The Gypsy Express is a short, fun ride around a scenic area of Staunton’s Gypsy Hill Park. Today’s riders are frequently the children and grandchildren of those who first rode the mini train more than a half-century ago. The Gypsy Express has been sharing fun and adventure with the young and young at heart for 60 years. Get in on the great Staunton train adventure!

Hours & Tickets

• Hours: 1pm-5 pm, Saturdays and Sundays, May through October. The Gypsy Express does not run in the rain.

• Tickets: $1 per person. All rides are free on July 4 and Labor Day.

The train closes for the season on the Sunday of the last full weekend in October. On that Sunday, all rides are free and the hours are 1pm – 3pm. The train can accommodate people with physical disabilities. The Gypsy Express Incorporated, a non-profit group of enthusiastic volunteers, serve as the train’s drivers.
