A haiku slam is a fun and fast literary competition using the haiku form.
Each round between two randomly selected participants is a best-of-3 or -5 or -7 round. Bring 20 or so haiku, and you should have enough to go all the way. There is also a shorter “battle royal” slam, where you only need a few haiku at the most. And you can compete in both events! We consider any short poem 17 syllables or less a haiku.
Thursday, September 5 at 7pm. Free to attend and participate
The SolArt Center is located in the Staunton Wharf. Parking is free and easy in the Wharf lot after 5:00 pm..
