Opening Reception

Celebrate the work of our October featured artist, Astrid Tuttle. Astrid has painted plein air most of her life and enjoyed the process, but she’s recently moved to a much larger, loose approach. These bold abstract depictions, starting from sketches and simplified drawings, gave her emotional freedom of color, rhythm and shapes. Her tools can be brushes, palette knives, fingers, toes, pencils, anything that can leave a mark. She uses layering to achieve texture and color and tone to follow the contour of the sky, mountains, water and pastures. Meet the artist on Saturday, October 3 between 4-6 pm at the opening reception. The exhibition will be up through the end of October.
