QCMS Presents: Bluegrass Jam Monthly on 2nd Sundays

Join us for the QCMS Presents: Bluegrass Jam, a monthly event every 2nd Sunday from 2-5 PM, co-hosted by Don DePoy and Martha Hills at Queen City Music Studios. This lively community gathering welcomes musicians of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned performers, to bring their instruments and join in the fun. Each session starts with an hour of slower tempos and introductory songs, progressing to more energetic tunes, all set in a welcoming atmosphere. Our Bluegrass Jam is part of a variety of Community Music Gatherings organized by QCMS, which include Old-Time Open Jams, Irish Sessions, Open Waltz Nights, and Ladies Song Circle Jams. These events are free and open to the public, with suggested donations to support our mission of #makingmusicmakers. Don and Martha are passionate advocates of authentic Appalachian music, performing a blend of bluegrass, old-time, folk, and more, and are recognized for their musical contributions in the community. Queen City Music Studios, founded by Molly Rose Murphy in 2015, serves as a hub for music education, providing lessons, workshops, and a supportive space for musicians.
