Your Go-To Guide for a Date Night in Staunton

Hey there lovebirds! Are you and the special someone in your life headed to Staunton for an evening of quality time? Staunton is the perfect romantic getaway whether you’re here for the weekend or just an evening. We’ve put together a date night itinerary you can use to your liking or modify however you’d like!

There is nothing more small-town romance than booking a stay in a bed and breakfast. Fortunately for you, Staunton has tons of them! We recommend Frederick House where you are in the center of it all. Frederick House is located within walking distance to all Downtown Staunton activities and parking is on-site.

If you both prefer a traditional hotel experience, you will love Hotel 24 South. This stately hotel offers self-parking, pool access, and a workout facility.

Before a romantic dinner, consider a couples massage at Breezy Hill Day Spa. You and your special someone can also opt for pedicures, waxing and facial treatments.

If massages aren’t your thing, head to Ox-Eye Vineyards Tasting Room. Split a bottle or opt for their tasting session for $10! Grab your glasses of wine and enjoy their outdoor terrace.

No alcohol? No problem! Couples will enjoy other fun activities such as browsing the art gallery at CoArt Gallery, viewing the stained glass Tiffany windows at Trinity Episcopal Church, antique shopping at 17 E. Beverley Antiques or even participating in an olive oil tasting at Staunton Olive Oil Company!

Before dinner, grab your sweetheart and explore the downtown shopping scene. Perhaps your special someone wants to pick up a high quality cigar? Swing by The Beverley Cigar Store. Or maybe your person wants a new outfit to wear at dinner? They will have plenty of options at Design @ Nine. It’s easy to wander for hours in our downtown, so make sure you save time for dinner.

After sippin’ on some local wine and exploring the downtown scene, head over to Aioli for a tapas-style Mediterranean dinner. Aioli is best known for its generous wine selection, red snapper, and homemade raviolis. Couples will appreciate the intimate and cozy environment while having their taste buds spoiled by Executive Chef Said Rhafiri.

If you and your loved one prefer a laid back setting, we suggest grabbing a homemade pie at Shenandoah Pizza or gourmet sandwich from Seed to Tail.

Whether it’s a pint of beer from Redbeard Brewing Company or a pint of homemade gelato from Split Banana, if you both are ready to call it a night and relax, no better place than your cozy hotel room. Make sure to grab coffee in the morning at The By & By before you hit the road.
