Lake Tams at Gypsy Hill Park

The lake is a 2.5 acre storm water retention pond in Gypsy Hill Park that includes a stocked trout program and is the location for two large fishing derby events. Fishing is available year-round, though it does require a Virginia Freshwater Fishing License for individuals over the age of 16.

Two special events are hosted at Lake Tams annually. The Youth Fishing Derby is held on the first Saturday in May and the Senior Fishing Derby for ages 55 and up held on the third Saturday in May.
