Reception – From Brooklyn to Canvas: The Art of Ciro Robustelli (1928–2024)

Ciro believed that the eye of an engineer and the hand of an artist were one and the same. This retrospective follows the 95-year journey of a Brooklyn-born son of emigrants who found his voice at Cooper Union and honed his vision in the galleries of the Met and MoMA. Though he worked a lifetime to provide for his family, his creative spirit flourished in his later years, resulting in a body of work that spans photography and painting. Completed just weeks before his passing, his final pieces are included here—a vibrant conclusion to a life lived with purpose and passion.
