All’s Well That Ends Well

Interpersonal courtly drama reigns supreme in William Shakespeare’s All’s Well that Ends Well. Directed by McDermott Visiting Artist Allie Babich, an innovative New York-based performer and director, and produced by MFA Company Constellation Shakespeare Collective, this production will be performed at the Blackfriars Playhouse from Sunday, February 22nd through Tuesday, February 24th. Our protagonist, Helen, saves the queen’s life and is rewarded with an eligible bachelor of her choosing. Helen chooses Bertram, the gentleman she was raised alongside after her father’s death. Bertram rejects Helen, and Helen goes to great lengths in an attempt to win his devotion. Class, consent, and the realities of war sit at the forefront of this “problem” play, and drama ensues.
