Christmas at Augusta Stone: Benefit Concert for BRAFB 2025

Celebrate the Holiday Season with the 28th annual concert “Christmas at Augusta Stone” featuring an extraordinary lineup of musicians with a free will offering to benefit our neighbors in need through the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Generosity, warmth, & love in abundance make this community event so special, and all proceeds benefit the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. The concert begins at 6:30pm with preliminary music by Candace Farthing, followed by the Nathan Moore Trio, “Neuf Manouche,” Molly Rose Murphy & the QCMS Family Band, and Banjo Bill and Babi Evans. More about the performers: Nathan Moore’s “Neuf Manouche” Trio: Nathan Moore is a storyteller, songwriter and musician that has lived and performed across the co0utnry including music meccas Austin, TX and Santa Fe NM. A recipient of the coveted Telluride Troubadour Award, he has collectively released 21 albums. Nathan is joined by Rene Devito on fiddle and mandolin, and Lex Park on upright bass. Bill & Babi Evans: An internationally recognized “banjo life force,” Bill Evans melds traditional with contemporary banjo music and draws upon his knowledge of classical jazz and world music for an entertaining and unique musical offering. He was awarded the 2022 Steve Martin Banjo Prize and is in the American Banjo Museum’s Hall of Fame. Bill’s wife, Babi, will join him on the bajo, guitar and vocals. Molly Rose Murphy and the Queen City Music Studios Family Band: Beautiful vocal harmonies and festive energy are the trademark of the QCMS Family Band. Molly is a talented vocalist, songwriter, and teacher. She has brought a music presence to main street Staunton with QCMS, Staunton Jams, and is a founding member of The Judy Chops, formed in 2008. She is joined by her mother, Lorie Lichtenwalner on guitar and vocals, Brian Fuller on upright bass, and Tom Espinola on mandolin. THANK YOU to Augusta Stone Church, Candace and Stan Farthing for hosting this wonderful event year after year; to all the volunteers who make the event happen and feed the performers; to all the musicians who volunteer their time for a great cause; to all the audience members who attend the concert and support the cause; and to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank for their hard work to make sure our neighbors have access to healthy food!
