FIRST FRIDAYS – Portents & Parallel Realms: Autumn Nolen Inaugural Showcase Reception

This event is no longer available.

Join Autumn on Friday, May 3rd, from 5-7 PM for the opening of her inaugural month-long show “Portents & Parallel Realms” at Art Hive, in Staunton, VA.

In this body of work, Autumn strives to transcend the boundaries of conventional reality, into realms where volcanoes, comets, and catlike creatures intersect with the earth and abandoned human objects. Drawing inspiration from folk art and medieval manuscripts, these paintings serve as a gateway to a parallel realm where the tangible and the mystical converge, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

Fascinated by signs and omens, she hopes to evoke wonder and contemplation through her art. Each piece, crafted with a blend of mediums and incorporating elements of three-dimensional design, invites viewers to ponder the mysteries that lie beyond the surface of everyday life.
