Home for the Holidays with Robin and Linda Williams

This event is no longer available.

WinterStage is back! Superstar folk musicians Robin and Linda Williams bring the beautiful tunes and homespun wisdom that made them regulars on Prairie Home Companion for 41 years back to The Blackburn Inn and Conference Center’s Great Hall for a special one-night-only holiday homecoming.

Robin and Linda Williams have developed throughout their performing career a unique collection of Holiday and seasonal songs. “Robin and Linda’s Holiday Christmas Spectacular” is full of harmonies and humor, carols (rare and not so rare), songs from favorite contemporary songwriters, and their own compositions drawing on childhood memories and their many Christmases together. It’s an evening that is intimate, poignant, and fun.

Along with their original songs Robin and Linda include distinctive renditions of traditional Holiday material and those from other songwriters like Steve Earle, John Prine, and Joni Mitchell, all beautifully played and sung. To this, they add their charming stories, and the result is a joyous evening that puts even the Scrooges of the world in the spirit of the season. They have released a Holiday CD, “The First Christmas Gift,” on Red House Records.

The concert doors open at 6:00pm. Music begins at 7:30pm and ends by 10:00pm. Light fare, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. No reserved seating available. Premium Tickets will have front placement in The Great Hall.
