QCMS Presents: The Neon Angels at Queen City Music Studios- Concert & Songwriting Workshop

Join us for a special community music event with Holly Renee Allen, Susan Munson, Andi Groah, & Molly Rose Murphy, as they perform in a round-robin style concert in the listening room at Queen City Music Studios on Saturday, November 8th after an afternoon Songwriting Workshop with Holly, Susan, and Molly. THE NEON ANGELS: The Neon Angels is a collective of female Americana singer-songwriters from the Charlottesville, VA, area. Co-founded by Holly Renee Allen and Susan Munson, the group organizes “songwriter-in-the-round” events that highlight women’s voices in the regional music scene. The collective began as a festival to honor and promote women in the Southeast’s Americana music scene, with events featuring multiple musicians sharing original songs and stories in an intimate, round-table-style performance. In addition to co-founders Holly Renee Allen and Susan Munson, other Blue Ridge area musicians have performed with the Neon Angels, including Blair Jones, Molly Murphy, Jen Tal, and Julia Catherine. Queen City Music Studios established an LLC in 2018, as an alternative school of music specializing in learning by ear. Over a decade later, QCMS employs over a dozen teaching artists and hosts special events at their Studios and Shop in Downtown Staunton, as well as at partnering venues with local organizations and co-producing individuals. Queen City Music Studios co-produces a bi-annual Music Festival, Staunton Jams, alongside The Judy Chops, and Staunton Media Alliance’s WQSV 106.3, our local community radio station.
