They all sound totally made up — but they’re not (probably) . Join us for “Wait, Wait … Don’t Tell Me – That’s Science?!,” an offbeat, on-point celebration of the most fascinating, confusing, and occasionally hilarious science making headlines. In the spirit of NPR’s “Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me!” we’ll quiz students, faculty, and guest experts on real (and fake) science stories ripped from the news. From climate change curveballs to cutting-edge cures, we’ll separate the pseudoscience from the seriously cool. Segments include: Bluff the Expert Mind Over Media Science Speed Round Bonus: Prizes for audience players who can separate the science from the nonsense! MBU Signature Events are a new series of public lectures, performances, and community experiences hosted by Mary Baldwin University and designed to engage both the campus and broader Staunton communities.
