Stonewall Brigade Band Summer Concerts in the Park

The Stonewall Brigade Band, founded in 1855, is the oldest continuous community supported band in the nation. It consists of musicians from throughout the Shenandoah Valley, providing concerts every Monday evening in Gypsy Hill Park at the bandshell from 7:30-9:00. Music each Monday includes marches, selections from Broadway and films, mood music (including a Halloween themed night), classical, sacred, children’s music, and many other styles. The Stonewall Brigade Band’s members range in age from 13-91+; many have played in service bands, are retired or current school band directors, and are retired or current professional musicians. Bring your lawn chair, your pets, and enjoy wonderful music each Monday evening. Concessions are available or you can bring your own.
