Fields of Gold

Fields of Gold is a regional agritourism program designed to collectively market and promote the Shenandoah Valley’s agritourism sites and activities. It began in 2010 when local planners, economic development, and tourism officials teamed up with farmers and local agricultural organizations to “plant the seeds” for a regional agritourism program in the Shenandoah Valley. The purpose of Fields of Gold is to promote the Shenandoah Valley as an agritourism destination, create and retain jobs on the farm, expand tourism jobs off the farm, and nurture an environment for entrepreneurism.
